The Adventures of Gus and Kim...

As you already know from the aquarium post, Gus and I were in Gatlinburg in November. Since this was the first time we had been there when everything was decorated for the Christmas holiday, I thought I would share a few more of our pictures.

Most of these don't even need captions or narration...they're of the downtown area - and it looked beautiful!

Check out this gorgeous Bernese Mountain dog that we met...

Look at that face!!! He's just a year old - but already weighs 109 lbs.!! Gus couldn't resist a pet (or ten)...

We stayed at a new place this time, too - the Hilton Garden Inn on River Rd. It's a fairly new addition to downtown G'burg, and we saw it when we were there in September. I didn't get  picture of the front of the building (I have no idea why), but this is the parking lot entrance...

And this is the rear of the building...you could walk through the parking lot, then between a couple of buildings and come out on the main street...

This is Gus enjoying the firepit area in the courtyard between the main building and the building that houses the pool. There is also a hot tub out there.

This is our room (we had a king room w/ a fireplace). It was very nice - and very clean...

We loved the electric fireplace - and used it every morning & evening!

If you're heading to G'burg and want to stay downtown where you're within walking distance of everything, I highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn! They have an on-site restaurant, but we only ate breakfast there one morning. Part of it is buffet-style, but you can also get eggs, pancakes, waffles, & French toast made-to-order - all for $10. They also offer room service, and have a "pantry" that is open 24/7 for any essentials or snacks you may need. Of course, the prices are somewhat inflated, so I would only use it if absolutely necessary - but it's nice that it's there.

(Disclaimer: My opinions are my own. I did not receive any sort of compensation for giving a review of the Hilton.)
