I can't remember the exact price of the mix, but it was a little less than $2.50/box, and each box makes 8-10 biscuits (according to the box).
Like any box mix, you need to add a few items - in this case it's butter, water, and shredded cheese. (I admit, I added a little more cheese than recommended!)
As is always true with biscuits, it's important not to overmix.
I used a 1/4 cup measuring cup to drop the dough onto a cookie sheet.
While the biscuits were baking, I melted the butter and added the garlic and herb packet to make the "topping" for the biscuits.
After the biscuits were done, I brushed the tops with the butter-garlic-herb mix. I gotta say - these really do look a lot like the ones in the restaurant! And they smell heavenly!
Mmmmmm! They are absolutely D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!! I managed to just eat one - but Gus ate 4 or 5! I even reheated one the next day, and it wasn't bad - not as good as fresh-from-the-oven, but not bad! If you like biscuits, you really need to try these. They're very, very good - especially for a box mix.
Have you tried the new Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix yet? What did you think? If you haven't tried it, are you planning to try it soon?
