A fix for those darn iPhone/iPad charging cables...

I know I usually talk about beauty and fashion, but I recently bought these awesome little gadgets and I just had to share them with you! This is not a sponsored post, I just think they're awesome.  (Update 10/1/16: I purchased this product and wrote this blog post without any affiliation with The Grommet. However, after I published the post, I became an affiliate. All that means is that I can use direct links to help you find their products (as well as banners and ads), and if you click on those links and make a purchase, it doesn't cost you any more, but I receive a very small commission. You are free to use the links or not. If you do, I thank you!)

Have you heard of the website, The Grommet? I love it! They find some of the most amazing and interesting products. Over the past few years, I've bought several things from them. A couple of weeks ago, I saw these fantastic little Tudia: Klip Cable Protector Set of 5 that fit over the vulnerable areas of your iPhone/iPad charging cord to prevent it from bending so that it won't fray! Why didn't I think of that??

Product review: Tudia Klip Cable Protectors - finally, something that protects the vulnerable areas of your Apple charging cords so they don't bend and fray! I love these!

I've been an iPhone and iPad owner for several years now. I love them, but my biggest complaint is with the charging cables. Every one I've had, after a period of time (and really not that long), has started to fray where the cord meets the connectors - at both ends.

I'm not rough with my cords. I take good care of them. I've tried taping them to prevent damage. Once I even tried that trick where you use a spring from a pen to stabilize the cord - nope, didn't really work. Nothing I've tried works! Do you other iPhone/iPad owners have this problem?

The Tudia: Klip Cable Protector is available as a single pair for iPhone/iPad ($7), two pair for MacBook Pro with Retina display ($12.95), or five pairs ($22.95) for iPhone/iPad. I purchased the set of five pairs so that I could share them with everyone in my family.

Tudia Klip Cable Protectors work on Apple Lightning, Apple 30-pin, and Apple Watch charging cables!

They're so easy to put on the cords! You just slide the little white holder cap thingy (technical term) off,

open up the colored tubey thing (also a technical term), slide it onto the cord,

then snap the white holder cap thingy back on! It's genius!

Before you ask, they had a Q&A session on The Grommet, and a lot of people wanted to know if these would fit on various other cords. They said these protectors were specifically made for Apple Lightning, Apple 30-pin, and Apple Watch charging cables - but - if your cord is a similar size, it may fit.

This store has so many cool things!! I'm eyeing the PawPlunger (I hate muddy paw prints on my floors, the TNK: Barracuda Kitchen Multitool, and I already have a Hot Iron Holster: Heat-Resistant Silicone Holder, but I need to get one for my daughter - they're great for your flatiron!

Have you ever shopped at The Grommet?
Don't you wish Apple would make their cords a little sturdier? I still have my original iPod charging cable from 10+ years ago - why can't the iPhone and iPad cables last that long?
