Last week on Instagram...

We had crazy weather last week, too! One day it was in the 50's, the next day it was snowing and I shared this picture of our yard and the huge snowflakes the size of half dollars. They look smaller in the photo, but they were huge!

Tuesday was Buddy's 26th birthday,  so I shared a collage of photos of him. He still has the same smile that he had when he was little - and it's beautiful. There were times when I wondered if we were all going to survive his childhood, but luckily we did. He has quite the sense of humor (he got that from his mom), and the most loving, generous heart. I'm proud to be his mom.

On Wednesday, I did a gratuitous plug for my blog post from that day about my Clinique 8 Pc Gift Set. I really enjoy Clinique's bonus gifts. The sizes are very generous - in fact, some are full-size - so it's easy to decide whether or not you want to repurchase. 

I was fortunate enough to receive The Amuse Bouche Voxbox from Influenster & Bite Beauty, so I posted a picture of the three lipsticks on Thursday. I actually really like these lipsticks! They smell like citrus, have a smooth, creamy consistency, and lasts a really long time. They sent Beetroot, which is a deep berry color - Gazpacho, which is a bright blue-red - and my favorite, Pepper, which is a dusty rose/brownish pink, and for me is a darker shade of my own lip color. I believe these lippies will be available at Sephora beginning Feb. 17.

I know I've mentioned how much I like Stella perfume before, but I posted a review on the blog on Friday, and shared a photo from the review. I usually don't like floral scents, especially rose, but I really love this fragrance. You can read my review here. 

Later Friday night, Gus and I celebrated Valentine's Day by going to see Zoolander 2. I love that we have a Cinemark Theater nearby that has VIP seating. The tickets are $5 more, but you get luxury seats, bar and food service, and it's 21 and over. Well worth 10 extra dollars! The food is actually pretty good, too! And we loved the movie! Yes, it's silly, but isn't that what you expected? Lots of laughs! And now I need to see Deadpool! Can't wait!

On Saturday, I shared a rare selfie because I was wearing the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick in Pepper. It's interesting, and I don't know if this is because I wear it over a lipliner or because my lips just absorb the moisture or because I apply with a lipbrush or maybe it's just the way the lipstick is supposed to look - but on me, this lipstick is almost matte. When I swatched it on my hand, it seemed like it would be more glossy, and it looks glossier on others, but not on me. I don't mind the semi-matte finish at all, and my lips feel moisturized. I'll be doing a review on the blog soon, so stay tuned!
