Last Week on Instagram...wk #5

Last week was a bit crazy around here. My mother-in-law fell and broke her shoulder, so we were scrambling trying to schedule 24-hour care for her. She's doing a little better now, thank goodness, and we've been able to get most of the shifts covered, so that's a big help. But we worry about her, and we've had to cover some of the shifts, so it makes things a bit hectic!

Let's see what was happening on my Instagram feed last week!

When I got to the salon on Monday, I was so excited to discover that they had five new nail colors from the CND 2016 Art Vandal Collection! I immediately fell in love with Magenta Mischief, so I had to give that one a try. It has microglitter that gives it almost a metallic sheen that is so pretty! I think this is one I will be getting during the summer, too. They also make this color in Vinylux , so you can get it for a home manicure, and it will still last at least a week!

I love this color from CND's Spring 2016 Art Vandal Collection - it's called Magenta Mischief!

On Wednesday, I shamelessly promoted my blog post for that day - a product review I did on the Tony Moly Age-Defying Snail Hydro-Gel Face Mask . This is currently my favorite sheet mask. It fits so well, and between the slightly compressive fit and the serum, fine lines disappeared and deeper lines were diminished! You can read more about it here.

Sheet masks are one of my favorite ways to hydrate my face, and this Tony Moly Snail Hydro-Gel Mask is my new bestie! Love the way it fits and really plumps those lines!

I also shared a picture of my new favorite winter fragrance, Stella , by Stella McCartney. I think I've mentioned before that I have a really weird body chemistry that makes most fragrances "turn" after I've worn them for a little while. They smell wonderful in the bottle and right after I apply them - but once they react with my chemistry - poof!- they become something almost unrecognizable and I have to wash them off. It's quite annoying! My go-to fragrance is Escada Taj Sunset - which is a fruity/floral scent (mostly fruity) that I love and get a lot of compliments on when I wear it - but unfortunately, it's a limited edition. I bought a huge bottle the last time they had it, but I hope they bring it back again. I usually don't care for floral scents, especially rose scents, but there's something about Stella that I just love! So I bought the small travel spray to use for the next couple of months.

Do you switch up your signature scent in the winter? I love Stella McCartney's perfume, Stella for my winter scent!

When I was eating dinner on Thursday, our Maine Coon, Angus, came over and draped his paw over my arm. He's usually only affectionate when he wants something - in this case, my steak. But he only thought he wanted it. He's very odd. He loves chicken, pork, and fish, but he won't eat beef. He begs for it, but if you give it to him, he sniffs it and looks at you like you just tried to poison him. Like I said, he's odd.

On Friday, I had to do another gratuitious blog post share! It was a Drugstore vs. Designer review, with the products being Rimmel Just Let It Go Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and Clinique Rinse-Off Eye Makeup Solvent. There is a $15 price difference between the two products, yet they are very similar in the way that they work - so I wanted to see how they stacked up against each other. You can read more about my review here.

On Saturday, I finally got the tattoos that I've been trying to get for the past two years! I tried to get them in both 2014 and 2015, and both times found out I needed surgery and had to put off the tattoos. So I'm very happy to finally have them. The tree is a Celtic Tree of Life, which for me, represents my family - past and present. My great-grandmother was Scottish, as were two set of great-great-grandparents, four sets of great-great-great grandparents - and well, you get the idea. So that is why there are Celtic knots in the tree. The heart in the center of the tree is for my children. The companion piece on my wrist is a heart with the Scot-Gaelic words "mo chridhe", which means "my heart", and that is for my husband, Gus. So these two tattoos are ones that I've given a lot of thought and mean the world to me.

My newest tattoos - a Celtic Tree of Life and a heart - the tree is for my family, both past and present, and the heart on my wrist is for my husband.

And I finally got an iPhone 6S! Of course, I had to have the rose-gold one - it's so pretty! This photo just doesn't do it justice at all. I'm frantically searching for a case for it before I drop it. Ideally, I'd like something that is at least partially clear so that I can see the pretty rose-gold metallic. I did find one that I like on a site my daughter told me about - mahalocases.com. I've never ordered from them, so I don't know anything about the quality or even the customer service. And I also saw one on Nordstrom Rack that I really liked. Both were reasonably priced, so if shipping isn't outrageous, I'll probably just go ahead and get both!

I just got the iphone 6S in rose-gold, and I think it's so pretty!

I hope y'all have a wonderful week, and if you're not already following me on Instagram, I'd love to connect with you!
