Now where was I? (See what I did there?)
If you already follow me on Instagram, you've seen these pictures. Or maybe not. If you're like me, you follow a lot of fellow bloggers, and sometimes, pictures slip through the cracks and you miss a few photos here and there. That's why recaps can be fun! So let's see what happened last week in the land of {enjoy the view}...
First, I shared this photo of the Stella and Dot Aurora necklace that was one of my Christmas gifts from the kids. It's reversible, and this is the "plain" silver side. I love the simplicity of it! The chain is 15.75" long with a 3" extender (you can make the necklace 16.75", 17.75", and 18.75"). I think all necklaces should come with extenders - they're so handy!
I also shared this photo of the reverse side of the necklace - the pave sparkle side. I really love how dainty it is, and that you can get two totally different looks for just $29! (It's also available in gold.) I wore it that day with a cropped sweatshirt with silver metallic snowflakes that I picked up on clearance from Gap a couple of years ago.
Then I shared this picture of the Stella and Dot pave arrow cuff that was also a Christmas gift from the kids. It's adjustable to fit all wrist sizes, and is only $34. I love that it's so dainty and feminine, too. It goes with everything from a little black dress to blue jeans! The Michael Kors watch (similar) was a Christmas gift from Gus a couple of years ago. I love it, too, and wear it almost everyday. Those little fringy red things you see in the background? That's the fringe on a new red Michael Kors sweater I picked up on sale at Macy's for the holidays. It was originally $89, but I ended up paying around $50 for it. It's on sale for $59.99 right now with an extra 20% off, bringing the price down to $48. It also comes in blue, black, brown, olive, and light grey. It runs big - I normally wear a M, but I bought a S, and I should've bought the XS. I'm going to try to shrink it!
FUN FACT: The date is wrong on the watch. Why? Because I can't see it with my contacts in!! (Another pitfall of being over 50.) So I never look at it. In fact, I didn't even notice it until I was editing the pictures!
The next day, I shared this picture of the When™ 10:00 PM Sheet Mask that I reviewed on the blog. It wasn't a sponsored review - I purchased the mask myself from Sephora, and really liked it! It isn't a paper mask; it's a really thin gel-like material that adheres well to the skin. I loved the hydration! You can read my review here!
Midweek, we went out to eat at Chuy's, and since they no longer had the yummy frozen White Peach Sangria, I tried one of the Perfect Pomegranate 'Ritas! It was delicious, and I ended up with brain freeze several times from trying to drink it too quickly, LOL! I also ate far too much of the Creamy Jalapeño Dip - it's my favorite!! I've looked up a copycat recipe that I need to try soon!
On Thursday, I shared a picture from my blog post about Drugstore vs. Designer - Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara vs. Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Fiber Gel . I compared the two products to see if the Benefit product was worth the $17 price difference. You can check out my conclusions here.
On Saturday, Gus and I went out to eat at Smokey Bones Bar & Grill, and I tried the Purple Haze Sangria. I love sangria, but it gives me a migraine if it's made with red wine. This version was made with the fun Viniq Shimmering Liqueur, PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur, and Lunetta Prosecca. If you haven't seen the Viniq, check it out next time you're at the liquor store. It's vodka mixed with Moscato wine, fruit flavors, and shimmer! The original is purple (grape) and when you shake/swirl the bottle, the liquid shimmers and swirls! They also have a Ruby (red berries) and Glow (peach) version. We have the original here - I need to snap a photo of it for Instagram!
And that's last week on Instagram! If you enjoyed this post, and aren't already following me on Instagram, I'd love to connect with you!
