There's always room for Jello...shots

Our street always has a get-together in the cul-de-sac around the middle of September - just to catch up, socialize, eat, and of course, drink. Adult beverages. Usually a lot of adult beverages. Everyone brings a dish or two and provides their own drinks.

This year I brought mac & cheese and jello shots. I made jello shots for the fireworks party on July 4th and they were a big hit - so it was requested that I make them again.

Jello shots are super-easy to make - usually just three ingredients, one of which is water! I'm not a big jello fan, but jello shots are a whole 'nuther story. You can usually find the cups at a liquor store - our local Kroger liquor stores sell them.

By far, the favorite jello shot in our neighborhood is the Red-Headed Slut. It's probably best to not dwell on why. But anyway, I don't like Jagermeister at all, but it's pretty tasty in this.

Red-Headed Slut
3/4 c. boiling cranberry juice cocktail
1/4 c. boiling water
1 small pkg. peach jello
2/3 c. peach Schnapps
1/3 c. Jagermeister

This one is a new one that I created just for the party...

Party in the Cul-de-sac
3/4 c. boiling water
1/4 c. pineapple juice
1 small pkg. orange jello
1 c. Voli light orange-vanilla vodka

And this is another one that I created just for the party...

{insert name of your street} Rocks
1 c. boiling water
1 small pkg. raspberry jello
1 airplane bottle blueberry vodka
1 airplane bottle strawberry rum
1/4 c. blackberry Schnapps
(pour small bottles of vodka & Schnapps into a 1 c. measuring cup, then fill to the top with Hpnotiq)

Instructions for all recipes:
Pour the boiling liquids into the jello & stir until completely dissolved. Add liquor & stir. Pour into shot cups, add lids, and refrigerate overnight.

I mix mine in a large measuring cup with a spout - it makes it much easier to pour into the cups.

I made 64 Jello shots for the party, and took home 4. There were 9 or 10 people doing them, with the majority of them being consumed by 5 or 6, LOL! I think that means they were a hit.
