Pin Busters! Another Copycat Olive Garden Salad Dressing

I found this recipe from Because Barenaked Chef said so on Pinterest. Since my last attempt at a copycat Olive Garden dressing didn't taste a thing like OG's, I decided to give this one a try:

Because Barenaked Chef said so's Copycat Olive Garden Dressing
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian spices
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 9 tablespoons water (that’s 1/2 cup + 1 Tablespoon)
  • 2 envelopes Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix (each envelope is .7 oz)
Or if you prefer, you can make the two envelopes of Good Seasonings dressing according to the directions on the package, and then combine it with this recipe, which is what I did.

Everything you need is pictured below, except for the sugar. I substituted granulated Splenda in mine.

First, I made the two packages of Good Seasonings Italian dressing according to the instructions on the package.

Then I added all of the other ingredients, whisking until smooth.

This is the Good Seasonings bottle that comes with the dressing packets (you can also buy boxes of just the packets). This recipe made enough to fill two of these, so there's plenty!

The verdict: Oh so Pinworthy!! Wow! This is really the closest thing to Olive Garden's dressing that I've ever tasted. Love it!! I'll definitely be making this again - it's going to be a favorite around here! If you love OG's dressing, you definitely need to give this recipe a try!
