Tuesday Brewsday: Mad Beach Craft Brewing Company - Madeira Beach, Florida

For this week's Tuesday Brewsday, we're traveling to Madeira Beach, Florida to check out Mad Beach Craft Brewing Company...

We visited this brewery in December 2017 when we were in the Tampa/St. Pete area. It's located in John's Pass Village and Boardwalk. They're a brewpub, but the kitchen was being remodeled the day we were there, so we didn't sample the food. Honestly, we were just there to drink, not eat, so it wasn't a big deal.

Guys. They have some seriously good things on tap.

(pictured, left to right: Sour Green Apple Cider, Lord Farquad, Tangerine Dolphin Drool, Cabia White Sangria,

My favorites*:
  • Cabia White Sangria
  • Sour Green Apple Cider
  • Vanilla Bean Life's A Beach (pale wheat ale)
Gus' favorites*:
  • Vanilla Bean Life's A Beach
  • Lord FarQuad (Belgian quad)
Buddy's favorites*:
  • Tangerine Dolphin Drool (pale ale)
  • English Barleywine Oak Aged
  • Cabia White Sangria
  • Sour Green Apple Cider

I know I listed our favorites above, but I gotta tell you - my absolute favorite was a suggestion from the bartender. I don't think there is a name for it, but it's half Pineapple Cider and half Cabia White Sangria. Talk about the perfect beach drink. Wow. Soooo good. Just a word of warning - this one sneaks up on ya!

I think they had 21 taps - and there's this deal where if there are three or more in your party, you're eligible for a HUGE flight that includes one of each of their brews. If we hadn't already been to two other breweries that day, we would've definitely tried it!

Can we just talk about the decor for a minute? As a beach lover and life-long Parrothead, I die. It's like a Jimmy Buffet concert.

And how about this Christmas tree?

I love sugar skulls and this one is awesome!

They also have some pretty cool merchandise. Buddy picked up a metal logo sign and a couple of pint glasses (as well as a crowler of Sour Green Apple Cider and a bottle of Cabia White Sangria).

I bet this place is packed during peak tourist season - and with good reason. We will definitely be back (in the off season, of course), and recommend that you stop by if you're in the area!
