Fysiko Eyelash Growth Serum - Day 1

If you know me, or read my old blog, then you've most likely heard me complain about my eyelashes. They are the bane of my existence. My lashes are blonde and short (hey, that describes me!) - and invisible without mascara. Heck, mascara doesn't even help that much. I know I can't be the only one out there with lashes like this!

(Note: Both of my kids have long, dark, lush lashes. If they didn't look so much like Gus and Gus' mom, I'd swear they weren't mine.)

Yep, there they are - no makeup, no retouched photo - just my barely-there lashes, well, barely there. I mean, good grief - my lower lashes are as long as my upper lashes!! So wanna see them with lash primer and mascara?


Not much better, huh? Sigh. And it's even worse when you factor in that the mascara doesn't stay on well.

We've all heard of Latisse to lengthen lashes. I've never tried it because the cost is completely out of my "comfort zone" (usually around $150 plus an office call - and my dermatologist charges $100/visit). Plus you need a prescription, and none of this is covered by insurance. So when I was given an opportunity to work with Fysiko, testing their eyelash growth serum, I couldn't wait to get started!

I wasn't sure if I could wear my contact lenses while using the serum, but it's completely safe! If I use it in the morning, I just need to wait 10 minutes after applying before I insert my contacts.  You can also use the serum safely with eyelash extensions.

According to the website: "Some see results as fast as within 2 weeks. Most customers start seeing results in 4 weeks. On average our testers have seen a 56% increase in lash length after using FYSIKO eyelash growth serum for 6 weeks. Some testers have seen as high as 82% increase in lash length. Full results will be seen in 16 weeks."

First application: I applied the product for the first time on 4/24/13. The product is a clear liquid that applies easily to the lash line. I did not detect any odor or fragrance at all. I have very sensitive skin, especially around my eyes, but I did not notice any stinging, tingling, burning, or redness after application. It really takes very little product to "line" the lashes, so I do believe this could last 6-8 months.

So stay tuned for updates! I'm very excited and have high hopes! I plan to take photos every two weeks to document any changes, and I will post them once a month - with a final post at the end of 16 weeks showing the before and after!
