8 Fun & Free Holiday Fonts!!

8 Fun & Free Holiday Fonts!!

I haven't done a free font post for quite some time, and since I think the holidays are one of the best times to use fun fonts, I decided I would share some more of my favorites with you!

All of these fonts are free for download and personal use at fontspace.com. My graphic is clickable, and there are also clickable links below the graphic that will take you to the individual download pages.

8 Free & Fun Holiday Fonts - free to download for personal use; great for holiday projects! Snowflake Letters Reindeer Games Everything Holiday Candy Cane Holly Berry Wonderland Magic Christmas Frosty Let It Snow Image Map

Just in case you don't know how to install fonts, this is how I do it with Windows 8 and Firefox:

  • First I make a folder for all of my downloaded fonts to be saved in (it makes it easier to keep them together); with Firefox, to make sure that you're always asked where to save the downloaded file, just go to your Firefox drop-down menu, choose "options"; then under "general", look for "downloads", and make sure that "always ask me where to save files" is selected)
  • Click on the download button and save the file in your fonts folder
  • Double-click on the download arrow to the right of the address bar (in Firefox) to view the download
  • Click on "extract all" when the new window opens
  • Now you can do one of two things - you can either right click on the file with the .ttf extension and then click on "install", or you can double click on the .ttf file to open it, and then click on "install" (I do the first one - it saves a step!)
  • Enjoy your new fonts!!

  • click on the download button & save the file (I use Chrome) to the folder you want (I have one called "Blog fonts")

Free Font Fun for St. Paddy's Day!

Free Font Fun for St. Paddy's Day!

St. Paddy's Day will be here before you know it, so I have 10 free St. Paddy's Day fonts for you!

(click on the name of the font to go to that font's download page)

Yes, yes - I know there are only 9 fonts on the chart. The 10th one is actually St. Paddy's Day characters!

(click on the name of the font to go to the download page)

Just in case you don't know how to install fonts, this is how I do it with Vista. There are other ways to do it, but this is the quickest way for me:
  • click on the download button & choose where you want to save the file
  • once the file has been downloaded, you will need to unzip it & extract the files. With Vista, all I do is click on "extract all files" - but you will need to do whatever you normally do to unzip & extract.
  • after the .ttf file is extracted & saved, right click on it
  • from the menu that pops up, select "install"
And this is how I install fonts with Windows 8:
  • click on the download button & save the file (I use Firefox - to make sure you're asked where to save the downloaded file (which makes it easier - you don't have to move the file later), just go to your Firefox drop-down menu, choose "options"; then under "general", look for "downloads", and make sure that "always ask me" is checked)

Free Valentine's Day Font Fun!

You know how I love free fonts! These are some of my favorite Valentine's Day fonts - they would be perfect for making your own Valentine's Day cards or even subway art...

(click on the name of the font to go to that font's download page)

And these are the c-u-t-e-s-t Valentine's Day characters ever!! I loved then so much, I just had to share them. They're all part of one set by Kimberly Geswein, called KG Heart Doodles. Don't worry - there is a character map on the download page so you know which key makes your favorite characters!

Just in case you don't know how to install fonts, this is how I do it with Vista. There are other ways to do it, but this is the quickest way for me:

I just got another laptop that has Windows 8, so this is how to install fonts with Windows 8:
  • click on the download button & save the file (I use Firefox - to make sure you're asked where to save the downloaded file (which makes it easier - you don't have to move the file later), just go to your Firefox drop-down menu, choose "options"; then under "general", look for "downloads", and make sure that "always ask me" is checked)

Free font fun #1!

Free font fun #1!

Since I've been designing the new blog, I've been working with a lot of fonts - and they are so much fun! It's even better when you can get a fun font for free - so I've made a list of 10 of my newest fonts to share with you.

A Yummy Apology - Cool Dots - Designers - Elegant
Girls are Weird - Kiss Me - Love Letters
Pharmacy - Riesling - Saginaw
(click on the name of the font to go to the download page)

Just in case you don't know how to install fonts, this is how I do it. (I have Vista - I know, I know, I need to upgrade...) There are other ways to do it, but this is the quickest way for me:
  • click on the file to start the download
  • save it to a folder (I have a folder named "fonts" in "Documents")
  • once the file is in your folder, right click on it (all of the fonts I listed above are downloaded as .ttf files, so you don't have to worry about unzipping & extracting)
  • from the menu that pops up, select "install"
And that's it! So easy! Have fun!!
