Fashion for Friday: Red & Blue for a Spring Weekend

Fashion Friday: Red & Blue for a Spring Weekend | enjoytheviewblog.com #fashion #fashionforfriday #spring #springfashion #outfit #MichaelKors #GAP #statementnecklace #flats #jeans #OOTD

I enjoy a casual lifestyle that allows me to wear casual fashions - but that doesn't mean that I don't want to look "put together".

One of my favorite spring items is a short trench coat! I think  I have 5 hip-length trenches and one that is just above the knee - love them all!! This off-white version from GAP would work well on everyone, and it's a great color/style to dress up or down. Unfortunately, it's sold out, but there are similar ones here and here.

The jeans are also from GAP - and while GAP jeans aren't the best for my booty, they are the only cuffed ankle-length jeans I've found that are the right length for my shorty McShort legs. So I try to pair them with tops/jackets that cover at least part of my bum. Please, GAP - make some jeans that flatter the average booty!!

And of course, I love to wear cute flats with my cuffed ankle-length jeans. These floral flats from GAP are just $40, and I'm in love with them! They have other patterns available, too (polka dot, stripes, & camo). I need them all!! UPDATE 4/5/14 - I just picked up these adorable flats for $24!! They're on sale for $29 right now and coupon code GAPNEW gets you an extra 20% off - yay!!

I also love Michael Kors - he's one of my favorite designers. This navy cross-body MICHAEL Michael Kors bag is adorable (and is available in 4 other colors), and is currently on sale at Nordstrom for $150 - free shipping & free returns! My Michael Kors watch is my favorite watch, and I wear it almost every day. I love this gold-tone Michael Kors logo watch - the original price was $395, but you can pick it up on Overstock.com for just $198!

I've resisted the statement necklace trend - until now. I bought my first one a few weeks ago and am now completely hooked. I love this Midnight Sail statement necklace from Banana Republic - but it's a bit pricey at $89. I would probably buy something similar from Forever21 or Charming Charlie.

The red t-shirt is from yoox.com, but it's something that could easily be found at a variety of stores. I have a lot of shirts like this from GAP and J.Crew - so cute!

The thing I love most about this outfit is that it's casual and comfy, and looks like you took the time to pull everything together - but effortlessly. Also, all of the pieces could be dressed up or down, and mixed and matched with a lot of other pieces. I love separates!

What's your favorite casual weekend style?
