Sephora Holiday Shopping Event: 20% off for VIB members!

As I write this post, the final hours of the Sephora 20% off sale are winding down for the VIB Rouge members - but that's great news for the VIB members because that means your sale will be starting in a few days!!!

VIB shoppers can save 20% on all of their Sephora purchases from November 11th through the 14th using code 20VIB. The code is valid for online purchases - for in-store purchases, you'll need to show your VIB membership card, the 20% off card you received in the mail, or give your email address or phone number so they can look up and validate your membership. Also, you can use the discount for purchases at Sephora stores inside JCPenney, but not at jcp.com.


I'm going to assume that since I was able to use my code more than once during the Rouge sale, VIB members will be able to use the code more than once during their sale, too. You may ask why would you want to use the code more than once? Well, since I get free flash shipping, I divide my orders up so I can get more free samples. You could divide your order into free shipping increments and do the same. You might forget to order something or decide to order something else later in the sale - so you would need to use the code again. There are good reasons to use it more than once, people! LOL!

Something to keep in mind: only VIB members can use the sale code during these four days. They will check to see if you are a VIB member. Rouge members cannot shop the sale after Nov. 7th. A few years ago, they allowed Rouge members to continue to shop the sale as they added the VIB and then the Beauty Insiders, but last year they didn't allow that, and they won't be allowing it this year either. This also means that VIB members won't be able to shop the sale after Nov. 14th. So if you're a VIB member and you want something, get it during your sale days!

I picked up Benefit's Defined & Refined Brow Kit ($34). I'm a fan of their Gimme Brow, and I also have the newer Ka-BROW! (which I have a love/hate relationship with, LOL), so I wanted to give one of the new kits a try. I also stocked up on my beloved Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base - and apparently so did everyone else, because it's out of stock now. I was going to get the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, because I've had a couple of the mini ones and I really like it. But I started reading reviews of some of the other similar liners, and I ended up buying the Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen. It had really good reviews and I wanted to see how it compared. I bought a few other things as well - I'm sure I'll be showing them on Instagram!
