Pin Busters! More failed Pins...

Don't you hate it when you get so excited about a Pin, try it, and it completely bombs? I alternate between being totally bummed and wondering how so many people can keep pinning stuff that doesn't work.

Have you seen the one where you can freshen (not unclog) your drains by using baking soda, vinegar & salt?

You take 1/2 c. baking soda mixed with 1/4 c. table salt, and pour it in the drain. Then you add 1 c. warm vinegar and let it stand for 15 minutes. I quote "IT WILL FOAM AND BUBBLE".

Follow by running hot tap water for 15-30 seconds.

I tried this twice - once with regular baking soda and once with washing soda. Same results. Hmmm. Poured it in. Where's the foam??? Hello? Foam??

How about the one where you tie sparkly tulle onto your Christmas light strands? You tie sections of sparkly tulle in between the lights, making this soft, sparkly, glowy, heavenly-looking tree. The picture looked so pretty and dreamy.

(I'd like to give credit to whoever took this photo, but it didn't link back to anything,
so I apologize to the original photographer!)
In real life, not so much.

I think that one was photographed with a special lens/filter or Photoshopped - or maybe they just got lucky and the picture turned out pretty. Pretty ugly in real life, unfortunately.

I'm sticking to my usual gold ribbon. And now I need to find a use for a roll of sparkly tulle ribbon.

I think I'll add these to my list of failed Pins. Argh.
