Adventures of Gus and Kim: Aquarium of the Smokies - Gatlinburg, Tennessee

When Gus & I were in Gatlinburg in November, we went to the aquarium. As many times as we've been to G'burg, we had never gone to the aquarium, so we decided we needed to check it out.

It's really amazing!! We were very impressed. There's a pretty nice aquarium in Newport, KY, and of course, the Cincinnati Zoo also has a smaller aquarium - but the one in G'burg is pretty spectacular. If you have a chance, you should definitely go!

As you walk in, they have these HUGE skeletons suspended from the ceiling!

Apparently, this iguana didn't want me to take his picture...

There is a huge tunnel that winds through the aquarium, so you're surrounded by water and sea creatures. Check out this sea turtle!

There are also lots of sharks...

Those are some major chompers!

I'm not sure if he's eyeing me or Gus...

I like jellyfish better in the tank than in the ocean or on the beach...

It just happened to be penguin feeding time while we were there. The all had name tags - blue for the boys (we saw Kenny, Riley, Edward...) and red for the girls (Noel, Maggie, Ho Ho...), LOL!

There were lots of hands-on activities for kids (and adults). Gus petted horseshoe crabs & stingrays!

Outside, they had Santa's house, a Christmas tree, and lots of decorations & music.

And here we are! Gus is pretty handsome, huh?

I'd love to connect with you! You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Bloglovin', & Pinterest!!
